Green river

We had a pretty uneventful day. Drove to Green river as close to arches as we could get a cabin, about 45 miles away. Green river is known for its melons. they have a festival with a parade and a melon queen!! we missed the festival by a couple weeks but there are still melons to be had.We saw a real cowboy with horse and hat and a herd of cows along side the highway. I tried to get pics but at 75mph its hard. On the way here we did see snow on the hillsides just a dusting. A man here said yellowstone got a couple of FEET the other day. When we were there it was in the 90s. Its supposed to be in the 30s here tonight last night it was in the 20s again. I hope we make it out of the mountains before it snows good here. We still haven't seen any daytime rain. I'm gonna post some more pics I think most of utah is canyons and rock formations.
