OMG the coast road is only for people with a death wish. It is the scariest road I have ever lived to tell about. the speed limit is 55 and people go that fast but it doesn't take into account the hairpin turns with a cliff on one side an the ocean down a cliff on the other. they don't seem to notice the bikes on the side of the road or the double tractor trailers coming round the bends. Or how about the wide load parked in our lane waiting for his wide load truck to make it around the hairpin turn??????We want to getoff the coast but the only way away from the coast is through the mountains on some equally horrible roads that only mountain goats should travel. HOW do they do it??We are alive at the KOA with no wish to leave because it means getting back on the "highway" Its 56 here and the ocean has fog due to the temps so you can't really even see it well. The reception is really poor so I can't upload pics and skype gets cut off. Oh well we are heading inland somehow. I'm off to see the fog .
