coast to yosemite

We made it off the coast. the road we took from the coast inland was a bit hairy but it didn't have the big trucks going through and the people we pulled over for seemed happy enough some even honked thanks and waved. We drove through the state and saw a lot of vineyards and fruit trees. we even saw a crop of sugar cane being harvested. They had windmill fields like us but their blades were curved. Lots of pasture land that looked very dry. We got to experience CA traffic jams. It makes me grateful that a long wait on 81 is at most 20 minutes. Kevin does not do well in heavy traffic so I'm glad we didn't go to 'Frisco. The KOA here is nice off the highway and pretty secluded. No bears though lately. Well I can't download any more pics as each set of five takes almost 15 min. again poor connections. Tomorrow yosemite. goodnight now
