Hi all, we left vegas bright and early. Kev was sorry he didn't gamble but he was to tired last night. Today we headed east. We went over the hoover dam which was pretty cool. I was kinda surprised that it wasn't bigger. There was lots of construction all around there. Looks like they are building a road over the dam probably so some nut can't blow it up. Then we headed for route 66 we were going to try to hit a"ghost town" but we missed the road. It was very poorly marked which is why it is a ghost town I guess. Route 66 was also kind of sad. Most of it was deserted some of the "houses" along it were no more than shacks or little trailers with junk cars and trucks dead in the yard. a few looked like someone was still living there. The highlight of the trip was the Roadkill Cafe. it was on the show american road trip. It was really just a little diner but the food was good with quirky names. We are now at a KOA outside of Williams. We are heading to the grand canyon tomorrow and then to panquitch. Should be a busy day. I'll upload a few of the pics. I did get to see cactus today.
